Divine Love
What is Divine love? It can be explained in simple words as: To sacrifice all the dear and favourite things, relations and wealth for Allah is called Divine love. To devote everything for the Beloved is called love. Love is the name of renouncing comfort and peace for the sake of the Beloved.
Essence of Love
A person loves several relations and things. When there exists a love so profound that it eclipses all other affections, it is termed as 'Ishq' in Arabic. If such fervent or ardent love is for Allah then it is called Divine love. The blazing intensity of this love turns all the other loves into ashes and overpowers them.
Prophetic Love
Love for Allah cannot be attained without love for Prophet Mohammad. Those who do not love the Prophet, cannot love Allah. The Companions loved the Prophet, this is why they were granted the love of Allah. Sharia was implemented after migration to Madina. In Makkah, it was the love that connected the Companions to Allah and His Prophet.
Divine Connection
If while remembering Allah and Prophet Mohammad, your heart fills with passion and eyes well up with tears, then know that they are very close to you. Divine love is innate to the human soul. The beginning of the universe is Divine love and the creation of humanity is for the sake of love.
Journey of Love
When the intensity of Divine love reaches its peak, it begins to wane and transforms into inner tranquillity. In other words, when love reaches its zenith, the lover attains Divine vision and union and it is within this vision and union that the lover finds serenity.
Truth of Love
Truth is distinguished from falsehood in the arena of love. Faith is incomplete without Divine love. Respect and regard for the Beloved is the first and foremost rule of love. Love is not merely a verbal claim, rather it is an inner state in which the lover is ready to sacrifice his life and entire possessions for the Beloved.
Love vs Intellect
When the Divine love conquers the inward, even highly qualified and renowned scholars willingly forsake their honour, fame and intellectual prowess to embrace the path of Divine lovers. It is not possible for a person to feel Divine love for another person. Those who make such claims are mistaken because Divine love, in its true essence, is Allah Himself.
Path to Success
Only the absolute Divine love guarantees success in the court of Allah. It is only the Divine love that can lead a person to the spiritual journey towards Allah Who is closer than the jugular vein. The ardent Divine love leads to the observation of Divinity and has the knowledge of unreachable Divine secrets of Reality.
Illumination
Divine love removes objections from the inward and illuminates it with the light of Allah that helps the lover recognize the perfect Fakir. When the seeker enters the realm of Divine love after crossing the boundaries of his knowledge and intellect then the power of love takes him to the station of no station by crossing all the boundaries of time and space.
Divine Pain
Divine love is pain. Hence, the lover is called pain-stricken. It is a great blessing to have the pain of love. The world is full of the wise but is devoid of the pain-stricken (Divine lovers). Do not resist, embrace the gallows! This is the bazaar of love, not a spectacle. The rules and regulations of Divine love are eternal and never change.
Path of Faqr
In the path of Faqr 'metaphorical love' means love for the spiritual guide. In the path of Divine love, a lover undergoes the agony of separation, isolation, patience and constant trials. He keeps yearning for a glimpse of beloved. These ordeals are severer than the flames of hell, serving to strengthen and mature the bond of love.

عشق ِالٰہی
عشق ِحقیقی کیا ہے؟اس کو سادہ الفاظ میں ہم یوں بیان کرسکتے ہیں: محبوب پر تمام عزیز چیزوں، رشتوں اور مال ومتاع کو نثار کرنے کا نام عشق ہے۔ ہر چیز کو محبوب کے لیے خاص کردینے کا نام عشق ہے۔ محبوب کے لیے ترکِ آرام کا نام عشق ہے۔ محبوب کے لیے ترکِ آسائش کا نام عشق ہے۔ نفی دعویٰ کا نام عشق ہے۔ نفی خواہشات کانام عشق ہے۔
عشق کی حقیقت
انسان کو بہت سے رشتوں اور اشیا سے محبت ہوتی ہے۔ جس محبت میں شدت اور جنون پیدا ہو جائے اوروہ باقی تمام محبتوں پر غالب آجائے اسے عشق کہتے ہیں۔ اور یہی جنون اگر اللہ کے لیے ہو تو یہ عشق ِحقیقی ہے۔ عشق باقی تمام محبتوں کو جلا کر راکھ کر دیتا ہے ا ور ہر محبت پر حاوی ہو جاتا ہے۔
محبتِ رسول
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم کی محبت کے بغیر اللہ کی محبت حاصل نہیں ہوتی۔ جسے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم سے محبت نہیں وہ اللہ سے محبت نہیں کر سکتا۔ صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم سے محبت کی تو انہیں اللہ کی محبت نصیب ہوئی۔ شریعت ہجرت کے بعدمدینہ میں نافذ ہوئی۔ مکہ میں عشق تھا جس نے صحابہؓ کو حضور C سے جوڑا تھا۔
روحانی تعلق
اگر اللہ اور رسول اللہ Cکی یا د میں دل بھر آئے اورآنکھوں میں آنسو آجائیں تو سمجھ لیں کہ وہ آپ کے بہت قریب ہیں۔ عشق کا خمیر انسان کی روح میں شامل ہے۔ کائنات کی ابتدا عشق ہے اور انسان کی تخلیق عشق کے لیے ہے۔
سفرِ عشق
جب عشق ِ الٰہی کی تڑپ اپنی انتہا پر پہنچ جاتی ہے تو اس کا زوال شروع ہو جاتا ہے اور وہ زوال سکون کی صورت میں حاصل ہوتا ہے۔ یعنی جب عشق اپنی انتہا کو پہنچتا ہے تو لقا و وصالِ الٰہی حاصل ہوجاتا ہے اور لقا و وصالِ الٰہی میں ہی عاشق کا سکون ہے۔
عشق کی حقیقت
عشق کے میدان میں کھرے اور کھوٹے کی پہچان ہوتی ہے۔ عشق کے بغیر ایمان کی تکمیل نہیں ہو سکتی۔ عشق کا پہلا اصول ادب ہے۔ عشق محض زبانی دعوے کا نام نہیں ہے بلکہ دل کی وہ کیفیت ہے جس میں سرشار ہو کر عاشق اپنا گھربار، مال ودولت حتیٰ کہ جان بھی محبوبِ حقیقی پر قربان کرنے کو تیار رہتا ہے۔
عشق اور عقل
جب عشق دل میں ڈیرہ جما لیتا ہے تو بڑے بڑے نامور عالم اپنے مراتب ِعلم وفضل چھوڑ کر عاشقوں کی بھیڑ میں شامل ہو جاتے ہیں۔ عشق کسی انسان سے نہیں ہوتا، جو یہ دعویٰ کرتا ہے وہ جھوٹا ہے کیونکہ اللہ خود عشق ہے اور عشق سے ہی عشق ہوتا ہے۔
کامیابی کا راستہ
عشق ِ حقیقی ہی بارگاہ ِربّ العالمین میں کامیابی کی ضمانت ہے۔ عشق ہی انسان کو شہ رگ کے روحانی سفر پر گامزن کر کے آگے لے جاتا ہے۔ عشق مشاہدہ کا وارث ہے اور حقیقت کی تہہ یا اس کی کنہ تک کی خبر رکھتا ہے مگر علم (ظاہر) کی نظر سطح تک رہتی ہے۔
روشنی
عشق کی بدولت دل سے اعتراضات دور ہوتے ہیں اور عشق سے دل کے گوشے میں جو نور پیدا ہوتا ہے اسی سے 'فقیر فنا فی اللہ' (انسانِ کامل) کی پہچان ہوتی ہے۔ جب طالب ِمولیٰ علم اور عقل کی حد پار کر کے عشق کی حدود میں داخل ہوتا ہے تو عشق اسے تمام حدود پار کروا کے لامکاں تک پہنچا دیتا ہے۔
الٰہی درد
عشق درد ہے، اسی لیے عاشق کو درد مند کہا جاتا ہے۔درد مند (عاشق) ہونا بڑی سعادت کی بات ہے۔ زمین عقل مندوں سے تو بھر گئی ہے لیکن دردمندوں سے خالی ہے۔ اُف بھی نہ کر۔۔۔ سولی پہ لٹک جا، یہ بازارِ عشق ہے تماشہ نہیں۔ عشق ِحقیقی کے اصول و ضوابط ازل سے طے شدہ ہیں اور کبھی بدلے نہیں جا سکتے۔
راہِ فقر
راہِ فقر میں عشق ِمجازی سے مراد عشق ِمرشد ہے۔ عشق کی راہ میں عاشق کو ہجر و فراق ، صبر اور آزمائشوں کی بھٹی میں جلنا پڑتا ہے۔ وہ محبوب کی ایک جھلک دیکھنے کے لیے بیقرار رہتا ہے۔ آزمائشوں کی یہ آگ جہنم کی آگ سے بھی سخت ہوتی ہے اور اسی آگ میں جل کر عشق پختہ ہوتا ہے۔
"عشق کا کھیل ایسا ہی نرالا ہے جسے اﷲ کے عشق میں بے چین وبے قرار، صادق دل طالب عقل اور خرد کی حدود سے نکل کراپنی زندگی اور مال ومتاع دائو پر لگاکر کھیلتے ہیں۔ اگر جذبے صادق ہوں تو مجلس ِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم کی حضوری اور دیدارِ حق نصیب ہو جاتا ہے۔"
