Effort and Hard Work

If you reflect on the life of the Holy Prophet, it is evident that his life was marked by constant struggles from the time he declared his Prophethood till his last sermon of Hajj.

The lives of Companions of Prophet Mohammad were also marked by relentless struggle. Even after the Prophet passed away, the Companions persevered in their efforts for the cause of Allah, despite having already received numerous glad tidings of paradise.

In the path of Faqr or the way of truth, the struggle never ends. If a person can strive to improve his worldly life until the last breath, then why can't he continuously struggle for the sake of Allah?

Without mystic struggle, spiritual observation cannot be attained.

Relying on prayers without hard work and effort is idiocy while relying only on one's hard work and not praying along with it is arrogance.

Hard work is essentially required to achieve any rank, be it spiritual or worldly.

When a person constantly puts in his efforts towards an endeavour, a time comes when Allah Almighty grants him boom.

Struggle is the sign of success and the essence of life. One who does not strive is not truly alive.

Struggle and hard work is necessary along with trust in Allah.

Take pride in doing even the smallest task yourself so you can inspire and encourage others, and dare to do the heftiest tasks. Make the biggest spiritual goal and then stick to it with perseverance and purity of heart. Allah will for sure grant you the ability to achieve it or He will reward you with something better and more beneficial.

Struggle constantly and never get lazy. In the path of Faqr, constant effort and struggle is the biggest achievement and the key to success. After joining the path of Faqr, if you do not alter your ways of life and remain lazy as before then you have not truly undergone any transformation.

If Allah Almighty bestows you the ability to accomplish something, rest assured that you will be able to achieve it. However, even if one has complete trust in Allah and is blessed with His favour, one must not forsake the effort required.

On the Judgment Day, Allah Almighty will question us about how much we worked for His religion because He is more concerned about His religion than our worldly chores.

A person should prioritize religious duties over worldly obligations. The perfect spiritual guide wants his disciples to be consistently engaged in Allah's work. Therefore, strive to maintain a constant focus on the work of Allah mentally, spiritually and physically.

Taking pain in the way of Allah is a great felicity. Those who work hard for the cause of Allah and take pain for Him, please Him and attain His closeness. The knowers of Allah bear pain in His way till their last breath.
