ARROGANCE AND PRIDE

Arrogance and considering oneself better than others is a contemptible trait and it is in fact animosity with Allah.

Arrogance is a satanic attribute because it was arrogance that led Satan to refuse to prostrate before Adam. It was due to arrogance that he became cursed and rejected.

Actual arrogance lies in rejecting Divine truth and persisting in one's ignorance.

Arrogance upon devotions is an utter folly and error. Devotions are directed towards Allah and it is solely upon His discretion whether to accept or reject them.

Although no form of arrogance is acceptable in Allah's court but arrogance upon knowledge and worships is the worst kind of arrogance because it is the greatest barrier between Allah and His slave.

All abilities of a person are bestowed by Allah, had Allah not blessed him, he would have nothing. Thus, his arrogance is meaningless.

Allah may pardon sins committed under the influence of lust but will not forgive the one perpetrated due to arrogance.

Arrogance upon blessings not only prevents from closeness of Allah but also results in the decline of all blessings.

Arrogance blinds the inward and seizes the intellect.

Pride is permissible only in one circumstance, when it is exhibited to assert power and supremacy over the enemies of Allah and Islam.
