A Divine lover traverses all the stations of Faqr by beholding the enlightened countenance of the perfect spiritual guide.
Divine Lover's Focus
A Divine lover has no desires, even he does not desire Allah. Neither he aspires for any rank of inward nor to become the Universal Divine Man. His only focus is his spiritual guide. Nothing in both the worlds matters to him more than his spiritual guide and he is ready to sacrifice everything for him. The spiritual guide, too, is in search of such a sincere lover.
True vs Fake Lover
Can a Divine lover go astray or demote from his rank? A true Divine lover is inherently devoted to his spiritual guide from the moment he pledges allegiance. However, during his spiritual journey sometimes he has to face failures and demotion only for the sake of purification of self. The distinguishing factor between a fake lover and a true lover lies in their response to the failure and demotion.
Innate Love
Love of the true lover is innate and unwavering. Once a lover, always a lover.
Challenging Minds
It is very difficult to persuade or counsel two types of individuals: a lover and a bigot.
Spiritual Purification
To spiritually purify a seeker, the spiritual guide has to bring his hidden spiritual illnesses to the surface. Just as one visits a doctor when any physical illness manifests externally but as long as the ailment remains hidden in the body, there may be no immediate need for medical attention.
Orbit of Love
The lover is respectful, obedient and believes in every word of the spiritual guide, whether he understands it or not. A Divine lover revolves around his spiritual guide just like earth revolves around the sun.
Divine Covenant
On the day of the Divine covenant, the Divine lovers remained steadfast on their promise to Allah. It was with reference to these souls that Allah says to Satan: "Surely, you will in no way be able to influence My slaves." (15:42)
Fire of Separation
The inward of the Divine lover keeps burning in the fire of separation from Allah.
False Appearances
Some people portray themselves as Divine lover through conversation. With their superficial humility, fake actions and appearance they create an illusion of profound lovers. They make such big claims of love that even the true Divine lovers feel inferior in front of them.
Journey of Love
The lovers cover the journey of love by burning all their boats.
"The greatest lover of Allah is the one whom no one recognizes as a Divine lover during his lifetime. As is said by Allah Almighty in a Qudsi Hadith, 'Some of My friends remain concealed in My robe, nobody knows them except Me.' However, Allah can make any one of them known for the betterment of humanity."

عاشق
عاشق راہِ فقر کے تمام مقامات اپنے محبوب مرشد کا پُرنور چہرہ دیکھ کر طے کرتا ہے۔
عاشق کی توجہ
عاشق طالب کو کسی چیز کی طلب نہیں ہوتی حتیٰ کہ اسے اللہ کی بھی طلب نہیں ہوتی۔نہ اسے باطن کے کسی مقام کی خواہش ہوتی ہے نہ یہ کہ وہ انسانِ کامل بن جائے۔ اس کی نگاہ صرف اپنے مرشد پر ہوتی ہے۔ اسے مرشد کے سوا دنیا میں کچھ نظر نہیں آتا۔وہ مرشد کے لیے سب کچھ قربان کرنے کو تیار ہوتا ہے۔ اور مرشد کو بھی ایسے ہی عاشق کی تلاش ہوتی ہے۔
سچا اور جعلی عاشق
کیا عاشق کو بھی رجعت ہوتی ہے؟ کیا وہ بھی گمراہ ہو سکتا ہے؟ اصل عاشق مرشد سے بیعت کرتے ہی عاشق ہو جاتا ہے۔ راہِ فقر کے سفر کے دوران وہ نیچے بھی گرتا ہے اور اسے رجعت بھی ہوتی ہے، اس کی وجہ یہ ہوتی ہے کہ اس کا تزکیہ نفس ہورہا ہوتا ہے۔ سچے عاشق اور جعلی عاشق میں فرق یہ ہوتا ہے کہ جعلی عاشق کو جب تزکیہ ٔنفس کے لیے مرشد نیچے گراتا ہے یا اس سے کو ئی عہدہ لے لیتا ہے تو وہ مرشد سے ناراض ہو جاتا ہے اور اس سے علیحدہ ہو جاتا ہے۔
فطری عشق
عاشق جب بن جاتا ہے تو پھروہ عاشق ہی رہتا ہے اور نسلی عاشق ہوتا ہے۔
مشکل ذہن
دو لوگوں کو سمجھانا بہت مشکل ہے، ایک عاشق کو دوسرے متعصب کو۔
تزکیہ نفس
تزکیہ نفس کرنے کے لیے مرشد کو طالب کے اندر چھپی بیماریاں باہرنکالنی پڑتی ہیں۔ جیسے کہ بیماری جب تک جسم میں چھپی رہے تب تک ڈاکٹر کے پاس جانے کی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی لیکن جب ظاہر ہو جائے تو ہی ڈاکٹر اس کا علاج کرتا ہے۔ مرشد بھی طالب کے اندر چھپی نفسانی بیماریاں ایک ایک کر کے نکالتا ہے اور ان پر چوٹیں لگاتا ہے۔
محبت کا مدار
عاشق با ادب بھی ہوتا ہے ، فرمانبردار بھی اور مرشد کی بات پر یقین کرنے والا بھی ہوتا ہے خواہ اس کو بات سمجھ میں آئے یا نہ آئے۔ عاشق اور مرشد کی مثال ایسے ہی ہے کہ جیسے ہماری زمین سورج کے گرد گھومتی ہے اسی طرح عاشق مرشد کے گرد گھومتا ہے۔
الست کا دن
عاشق وہ ہیں جو روزِ الست اللہ کے سامنے استقامت سے کھڑے رہے۔ان عاشقوں کے متعلق ہی اللہ نے شیطان سے فرمایا ہے ’’جو میرے بندے ہیں ان پر تیرا کوئی زور نہیں چلے گا۔‘‘ (سورۃ الحجر۔42)
فراق کی آگ
عاشق کے دل میںاللہ سے ہجر و فراق کی آگ جلتی رہتی ہے۔
دکھاوے کا عشق
بعض لوگ گفتگو سے عاشق بنے ہوئے ہوتے ہیں۔ وہ اپنی عاجزی انکساری ، ناز واندازاور سراپے سے یہ ظاہر کرتے ہیں کہ وہ بہت بڑے عاشق ہیں لیکن اندر سے کھوٹے سکے ہوتے ہیں۔ ان کے عشق کے دعووں کے سامنے سچاعاشق بھی خود کو کمتر سمجھنے لگتا ہے۔
"اللہ کا سب سے بڑا عاشق وہ ہے جسے دنیا میں (اس کی حیات کے دوران) کوئی بطور عاشق ِ الٰہی نہ پہچانے۔ جیسا کہ اللہ نے فرمایا ’’میرے بعض ولی ایسے ہیںجو میری قبا کے نیچے ہیںاور جنہیں میرے سوا کوئی نہیں پہچانتا۔‘‘ البتہ اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے خود ظاہر کر دیتا ہے لوگوں کی بھلائی کے ارادہ سے۔"
