In madrasah Allah is known through knowledge and in khanqah Allah is beheld and recognized through love.

Khanqah of the perfect Fakir is the centre where the self of the seekers of Allah as well as the common people is sanctified and their soul is enlivened. The founts of Divine knowledge and gnosis emerge from here and benefit the society.

Being immersed in the world and its love, a person becomes entangled in countless veils which deprive him of the light of Allah. However, through the guidance and companionship of perfect Fakir at his khanqah, these veils are lifted and the rusty inwards are cleansed and illuminated with Divine light. Hence, the person is blessed with Divine closeness.

The British rulers made a law to destroy the khanqah system of Muslims by making shrine caretaking part of the inheritance.

Khanqah is established for exoteric training as well.
