A natural test from Allah - lawful through marriage, sinful in excess

Sexual Desires

The stronger the sexual desires, the higher the ranks one gains in the court of Allah by fighting against them. Sexual desire is the most powerful and dominant entity in a human being. Whosoever inwardly fights against it, is blessed with infinite ranks in the court of Allah.

False Love

One of the nuisances of sexual desire is the love between a man and a woman, which nowadays is erroneously equated to Divine love by people and is presented as a sacred bond. This misperception contradicts sharia and leads to numerous sins.

Sensual Gaze

Lust arises from a sensual gaze at someone. If a person does not exercise caution from the very beginning then he easily falls into this trap.

Wealth Trap

To satisfy the lust of food and sex one requires money, thus laying the foundation of greed of wealth which is the greatest fitna.

Marriage Caution

It is recommended that unless a seeker becomes firm on the path of Faqr, he should refrain from marriage because when desire of sex occupies the heart and mind, it obstructs the path to Allah's closeness.

شہوتِ جماع

جس قدر شہوتِ جماع غالب ہوگی اسی قدر اس کی مخالفت میں ثواب اور رتبہ زیادہ ہوگا۔ کوئی قوت اس شہوت سے بڑھ کر غالب نہیں، جو کوئی قلب میں اس سے جنگ کرتا ہے اور اس پر قابو پالیتا ہے اللہ پاک کی بارگاہ میں ایسے انسان کا رتبہ بے حد اعلیٰ ہے۔

جھوٹا عشق

شہوت کی آفتوں میں سے ایک آفت عورت و مرد کا عشق ہے جسے آج کل عشق ِحقیقی کے برابر قرار دے دیا گیا ہے اور اسے پاکیزہ بنا کر پیش کیا جارہا ہے۔ یہ خلافِ شریعت ہے اور اسی کے باعث بہت سے گناہ سرزدہوتے ہیں۔

بد نظری

شہوت کا منبع نظر ہے ےعنی یہ بدنظری سے پیدا ہوتی ہے۔ آدمی اگر ابتدا ہی میں احتیاط سے کام نہ لے تو سمجھ لو کہ اس کے شکنجے میں پھنس گیا۔

مال کی محبت

کھانے اور جماع کی شہوات کو پورا کرنے کے لیے مال کی ضرورت ہے، اس طرح ان سے شہوتِ مال کا بڑا فتنہ پیدا ہوتا ہے۔

نکاح سے پرہیز

طالب جب تک فقر میں کامل نہ ہو جائے اسے نکاح نہیں کرنا چاہیے کیونکہ جب دل و دماغ پر جماع کی خواہش چھا جائے تو اللہ تعالیٰ کے قرب کا راستہ رک جاتا ہے۔
