The human being is a combination of two things, soul and body. Just as Allah breathed the soul into Adam's body, He enters it into the embryo in the mother's womb during pregnancy. Scientists consider this as a spark that makes the baby move and breathe in the womb.
Prostration of Angels
The soul in human body became the place of angels' prostration but Satan could not recognize the reality of human existence, he considered it an ordinary statue of clay. Hence, he went astray and was cursed.
Soul's Enemies
In this world the soul has to confront three enemies; Satan, self and attractions of the world. These three surround the man to snatch the Divine Trust.
Soul's Regret
When a person commits a sin or does anything wrong, it is his soul that makes him regretful because sin is not inherent to its nature.
Self-Realization
The recognition of soul is actually the recognition of the reality of man or self-realization. Understanding the essence of the soul is the gateway to attaining gnosis of Allah.
Soul's Origin
Soul is from Allah. Since the soul belongs to the universe of command (Alam al-Amr), its natural inclination and tendency is towards love, gnosis, closeness and union of Allah.
Divine Vision
Divine gnosis and vision of Divine beauty are the peculiar attributes of the soul. Divine observation, closeness, vision and union give eternal life to the soul.
Soul's Nourishment
The nourishment of the soul is remembrance of Allah and salat is also a form of remembrance of Allah. The sustenance of souls is the light of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.
Awakening the Soul
By imprinting Ism-e-Allah Zaat(اَللّٰہ) on soul through contemplation, it leaves impressions on our esoteric being and influences it with its great powers hence giving life to the soul.
Divine Love
Divine love is embedded within the human soul. The relation between Allah and soul is that of Divine love. Without love neither the soul is vivified, nor can it attain Divine vision.
Key to Vivification
Without the vivification of the soul and enlightenment of the inward one can neither recognize oneself nor Allah. The key to the vivification of soul is the contemplation and invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.
Divine Vision
Once the soul is enlivened, the seeker beholds Allah with his eyes. The death of self is the vivification of the soul.

روح اور جسم
انسان دو چیزوں کا مجموعہ ہے، ایک اس کی روح ہے دوسرا جسم ہے۔ جیسے اللہ نے حضرت آدمؑ کے پتلے میں روح پھونکی تھی اسی طرح جب بچہ ماں کے پیٹ میں بن رہا ہوتا ہے تو اس میں روح پھونکتا ہے۔ سائنسدان کہتے ہیں کہ ایک سپارک (Spark) ہوا اور بچے میں دل کی دھڑکن چلنے لگی اور وہ رحم ِمادر میں حرکت کرنے لگا۔
مسجودِ ملائکہ
فرشتوں نے انسانی روح کو سجدہ کیا تھا، یعنی انسانی بدن میں جو روح ہے وہی مسجودِ ملائکہ بنی۔ ابلیس انسانی وجود کی اس حقیقت کو نہ پہچان سکا، اس نے انسان کو مٹی گارے کا معمولی پُتلا سمجھا، گمراہ ہو گیااور مردود ٹھہرا۔
روح کے دشمن
ساتھ ہی اس پر تین شکاری (نفس، شیطان اور دنےا) چھوڑ دئےے گئے ہیں جو اس کو گھیر کر اس سے اللہ تعالیٰ کی امانت ضائع کرانے کے درپے ہیں۔
روح کا پچھتاوا
جب انسان کوئی گناہ یا غلط کام کرتا ہے تو روح ہی اسے ملامت کرتی ہے کیونکہ گناہ اس کی فطرت میں نہیں۔
عرفانِ نفس
روح کی پہچان کو ہی اصل میں عرفانِ نفس کہا جاتا ہے۔ روح کی حقیقت سے آگاہ ہونا ہی معرفت ِالٰہی کی چابی ہے اور یہی دین کی حقیقت ہے۔
روح کا مبدا
روح اللہ سے ہے۔ روح کا تعلق چونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے عالم ِ اَمرسے ہے اس لےے اس کا طبعی میلان اور رجحان اللہ تعالیٰ کی محبت، معرفت، قرب اور وصال کی طرف رہتا ہے۔
دیدارِ الٰہی
معرفت ِالٰہی اور جمالِ خداوندی کا مشاہدہ اس باطنی وجود یعنی روح کی خاص صفات ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کا قرب ، مشاہدہ، دیدار اور وصال حیاتِ روح کا باعث ہیں۔
روح کی غذا
روح کی غذا ذکر ِاللہ ہے اور نماز بھی ذکر ِاللہ ہی ہے۔ انسانی ارواح کا رزق اسمِ اللہ ذات کا نور ہے۔
روح کی بیداری
تصور سے اسم ِاللہ ذات کو اپنے دل پر نقش کرنے سے یہ انسان کی باطنی شخصیت (روح) پر اثر انداز ہو کر اسے بیدار کرتا ہے۔
عشقِ حقیقی
عشق ِحقیقی کا خمیر انسان کی روح میں شامل ہے۔ دراصل روح اور اللہ کا رشتہ ہی عشق کا ہے۔ بغیر عشق نہ تو روح بیدار ہوتی ہے اور نہ ہی لقائے الٰہی پاسکتی ہے۔
باطن کی چابی
روح اور باطن کی بیداری کے بغیر انسان نہ ہی اپنی اور نہ ہی اللہ کی پہچان حاصل کر سکتا ہے۔ باطن کے اس بند قفل کو کھولنے کے لیے کلید (چابی) ذکر اور تصورِ اسم ِ اللہ ذات کی ضرورت ہے۔
دیدارِ حق
جب روح بیدار ہو جاتی ہے تو طالب مشاہدہ ¿ حق تعالیٰ کھلی آنکھوںسے کرتا ہے۔ نفس کی موت ہی روح کی حیات ہے۔
